How do you count the money?
Each day the person who closes out the fund raising will count the money and
then pass the money along to the treasurer who will recount, confirm and deposit the money into the bank account.
Where do you keep the money?
Since we are a distinguished club on the UC Davis campus all of the funds we collect go straight into our bank account. At the end of the fund raising, the bank account is closed out and all of the money is sent straight to Blood Water Mission to benefit the 1000 Wells Project.
How much of the money is used for administrative costs?
Nothing! None of the money you
donate to the Davis 1000 Wells Project will be used for our publicity,
materials, or other expenses. All of our administrative funds come from the
project coordinators themselves. We guarantee that every cent we raise in Davis will go directly to the 1000 Wells Project. The 1000 Wells Project that we send our funds to does use a small portion of the money donated to go toward their administrative costs.
How do I donate?
There are two ways to donate. First of all you can send money directly to the 1000 Wells Project. To do this write a check payable to "Blood: Water Mission" and write "1000 Wells, Davis Chapter" in the memo line. Send the check to Blood: Water Mission, P.O. Box 60381, Nashville, TN 37206. The second option is to donate to the Davis 1000 Wells Project with cash or check payable to the "1000 Wells Project" with “Davis” in the memo line. Consider partnering with us as we bring clean water and hope to sub-Saharan African communities. We will ensure that your money gets to the project.
