Off Campus On Campus Freshman Advocate Events Walk for Water Farmers' Market 2 Weeks of Sacrifice The Dollar Campaign

Picnic Day
We will be kicking off our 2009 1000 Wells Project on Picnic Day, the largest student run event in the U.S.! Please stop by our table located on the quad to grab some information on this year’s campaign and check out our displays! Not only will we be fundraising, but we will be teaming up with balloon artist Happy and fellow volunteers like you to raise awareness not only amongst UCD students, but in the greater Davis community. Also, look out for our interactive exhibit and help us attain our picnic day fundraising goal of $1,000.

If you are in junior high, highschool, or even elementary school and are interested in getting involved, please come by the table and one of our coordinators would love to exchange information and see if there is any way we can assist in your fundraising efforts. Look out for the roaming water droplets!

DC Swipefest!
We’d like to invite both freshmen and upperclassmen to get involved with a fundraiser called the 1000 Wells DC Swipefest!

This is how it works:

  • Freshmen sign up to “donate” a certain amount of D.C. swipes.
  • Upperclassmen make a donation in exchange for dinner at the D.C.
  • All proceeds go directly towards the 1000 Wells Project.
This is not only a tangible way for freshmen to get involved with the fundraising campaign, but a fantastic way to build community between freshmen and upperclassmen.
  • Stay tuned for more information about future Swipefest event dates.
  • Our goal is to raise over $1000 solely from the D.C. Swipefest.
  • Further details will be provided in “upcoming events” on the homepage.

For more information, check out the freshmen advocacy guide located under “volunteer”.
